“Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”  Matthew 7:17

Are you bearing good fruit?

Happy Sunday!

  2. I think because of lemons I enjoy the color yellow:) Funny how good fruit sometimes tastes sour! Probably how my teen feels about my parenting sometimes!

    • That’s such a good point. Good fruit can be sour. Sometimes we have to say and do things that are unpleasant, but they’re for our good in the long run. LOL re: how your teen might be feeling. Been there as a teenager, and certainly did feel that way!

  3. I certainly hope I am Alison. But it’s a great question for us to a little self-check.

    • Those self-checks are encouraged in the Word, Wanda: “Examine yourselves to see whether you are still in the faith.” I thank God for reminding us all that we need to do that and to keep ourselves spiritually fit. Have a great week, Wanda!

  4. Trying to. Trying to stay on the path at all times. Sometimes slipping and sliding a bit. Not LEAVING the Lord or stepping away from Him, but today’s world issues can become very confusing, very heartbreaking. So focusing on Him is the only true step we can ever take, even when pressure is on us from all around us. Ain’t easy.

  5. I certainly hope so, at least most of the time. There are some rotten fruit days.

  7. Hi Alison! I hope that I am being a ‘good fruit’ person. I think it’s a day by day proposition. But I’ll keep trying 🙂

    Peace,

  8. That’s what it’s about. Bearing good fruit. …especially since we’re known by our fruit. With the help of God, I’m trying 🙂

  9. I just commented on the lemons I bought this week. My husband picked them up and they were in the fridge this morning. I remember saying to my son how big and pretty they were. They looked GOOD! But as I cut into one it was sort of dry. I said something about not judging a book by its cover. Your post today makes me think of that conversation. Never mind big and pretty…I want my fruit to be good. So happy I stopped by tonight/today! Have an amazing week!

    • I love that you, too, had a lemon moment this week, Lisha! Yep, I buy mine by the bag from Costco and sometimes those that look so big and juicy turn out to be… lemons! Couldn’t resist that! Like you, I’m asking God to help me produce good fruit all the time. Some stinky stuff may surface but I want it to be the exception, not the rule.

Have a great week too, Lisha!

  10. I hope so! Some days I would say my fruit is better than others! ;)-Ashley

  11. At times I don’t think my “fruit” is ripe enough to eat. I’m working on it. I’m going to ask myself this question tomorrow morning and throughout my day tomorrow/evening. Also, I’m definitely going to follow up on the award very soon. Busy week. I’m hosting a baby shower on Saturday! Arrrgh! Lol.
