Blessed by association

friendship

I did this cross-stitch piece when I was a teenager, but the sentiment behind the statement it expresses remains the same today as it was back then. I’m blessed by association through the many friendships I’ve cultivated over the years. God is the author of friendship, community, and the unity that occurs when people are knit together in one accord. He dwells in the midst of it all and gives it His personal blessing.

Let’s remember and cherish our God-given friendships, both online and offline.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Blessed by association how so true. I never taken the time to see it that way. Thanks! I came across your blog from Jumping Tandem.

  2. ‘Blessed by association.’ I like that. :) Not only does it remind me of what a blessing my friends are but encourages me to be the best friend I can be. Good Word.

Blessings to you in the New Year.

  7. This is such a beautifully crafted piece, Alison! You are so right! I love that you acknowledge God as the author of friendship and community. I believe wholeheartedly that He made us to be relational people. It’s why we need people to thrive and grow. It’s very amazing how he designed us to be this way, really. :) I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

    • I had a great weekend, Brittnei. I went to a gala/fundraiser for a nonprofit that I support, and it was marvelous to see the support people gave. God is at work in all of our friendships. Such a blessing.

You have a great week, Brittnei!
