Fruit that remains

fruit that remains

I saw these berries as I took a walk near the office.  I don’t think they’re edible, but they sure looked pretty!  Reminded me of the premium God places on spiritual fruit that is of value in the long term.

“You didn’t choose Me, remember; I chose you and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil.  As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to Me, He gives you.” (John 15:16)

May yours be fruit that remains long beyond this Christmas season, and may you receive from Him all that you ask for.

Happy Sunday!

  4. Red is such a glorious color – it’s like God saw all the green in nature and decided to punctuate it with warm and fiery red. Wonderful Sunday words of wisdom as usual, Alison!

  22. Beware those berries – I ate some once when I was playing disc golf, and it resulted in the best round I’ve ever played. Of course, I woke up 17 weeks later in Amsterdam with a tattoo of Mighty Mouse on my biceps, but still …

I’m seriously glad you took the time to notice the berries that day and share them with us.
