What I believe in

Thanks to Arlett over at Chasing Joy, I decided to take some time to think about the things I truly believe in.  So, here goes.  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and beliefs in the comments!

What I believe in…

Father, Son, Holy Spirit.  Eternal, indivisible, immutable.

Tractor-trailer loads of laughter

At least one good belly laugh each day brings health to the body and the soul.

Being grateful

The best vitamin is Vitamin “T” — thanksgiving!

No pollution of the mind, body, and spirit

Be careful what your eyes, mouth, and ears ingest.  You are what you eat.   Read labels.  Know what you’re putting on and in your body.

Standing up for the underdog

The Bible exhorts us to defend those who can’t do it for themselves.

Letting God fight my battles for me

I love the “yes!” that He stirs in my spirit every time that happens!

Linking up with positive people

Toxic folk, get thee hence!  It’s so important to DFC (decrease frequency of contact) with naysayers and negative nellies.

Encouraging others

A laugh, a smile, a hug, a joke, a call, a gift:  You never know the difference that small gesture can make in someone’s life.

It. Changes. Things.  I’m a witness!

Giving back and paying it forward

I’m blessed to be a blessing; I’m a channel, not a reservoir!

Tight hugs and hearty handshakes

Hate hate hate wimpy greetings. Bleck.

Shutting up when I have nothing valuable to say

They’re all around us.  And within us.

Taking walks outside

Even a five-minute stroll cleanses your mind and your spirit.

believe 3

Seeking the best in people, but not letting them take you for a ride

It’s the the whole gentle as doves/shrewd as snakes thing.

Doing things decently and in order

A place for everything and everything in its place.  Yep, I’m borderline OCD.  I confess but don’t repent.

Learning something new every day

Speaking of which, did you know there are Y-shaped coffins?  Go figure.  Really, go figure why they’re needed.   😉

Christmas music in July

Just for the heck of it.  C’mon, admit it:  it’s fun!

Being kind

Even if I think the person merits a side eye.

Staying in touch with people

…and being obedient to contact them when the Lord impresses them on my mind.

So… what do you believe in?
